“Pretty” you think, as you lean closer to the yellow Lily. In hopes to catch the full spectrum of the beautiful scent. Mesmerized, almost enchanting the fragrance fills your nasal cavity, shoots up into the brain and like color, burst radiantly into your mind. This is no ordinary flower, it has touched the nerves of your spine, altering your physique. The world begins to grow larger and larger as your body contracts to the size of a rice grain. You softly glide in the air and land gently on that yellow petal you held, a few magical moments ago.
And there, in the middle of the new world, right in front of you, stands a towering green-like structure, so tall, it shelters you from the Sun. That’s the stigma of your tiny new compartment, the female part of the flower. You take a few more steps on your tiny legs and walk towards a somewhat less intimidating structure. Thin and stalk like, reminding you of the pine trees standing unadorned in the landscape.
“Oh this must be the stamen. The dude part of the flower…” you think out loudly as you poke a finger in its bark.
The forest you’ve landed yourself in, you’ve found, is circular, with the majestic stigma located dead in the centre…
The wind blows, delicately, almost like, a human giant let out a tiny sigh onto your flower. The pine tree-like entity moves. It rustles and bustles to release, in your view ball sized spores. Each tree releases a number of these orange-like fuzz balls and they drift in the air. Above your head, and seem to bear a resemblance to hot-air balloons, moving at the same snail pace, upwards. It looks a Chinese candle light festival, everything looks so magnificent under the microscopic eye
You look at the lily in your hand and smile at the gigantic lesson you’ve learnt when you dived mindfully into that tiny world:
There are worlds, we will never see but there… the presence of our existence echoes.
We, just like the flower, are beautiful working organisms carrying massive influence of Higher Intelligence. We, inside all of us, have both the masculine and feminine energy working in balance to keep us in tune with the theme and rhythm of the Universe. We, no matter how small are (at the bigger scale of things) part of the cosmic music, the intergalactic ribbon of planets and the vast black skies. We are as important as the sun, as needed as oxygen. We are the Great Consciousness that created the moons and decorated our night sky with stars.
We are, as big as and even bigger than entire galaxies. We should take the small steps, look up to the giant spores in the sky and come to appreciate, the incomprehensible greatness of ourselves.
